Which paint should be applied?

For interior painting should be distinguished whether the wooden house / garden shed is only used as storage for equipment or as sitting. there are glaze coats solvent-based or water-based. Is mainly a use provided as garaging you can rely on glazes on solventborne base readily such as Sikkens Cetol HLS Extra. Otherwise, a coating with a water-based glaze e.g. Sikkens BLX-Pro is recommended.

How should the paint be applied?

The paint is best applied with a synthetic fiber brush. Depending on need, the glaze is applied thinly once or twice.

Tips

The colours are available in classic wood tones and of course special colors by the Sikkens mixing system. It is also recommended to stir the glazes in between, otherwise color differences may arise between start and finish.

The surface should be cleaned from the peeling paint. Loose-fitting color can be removed by using a spatula. After that rework with a sandpaper or sanding fleece and remove the sanding dust.

As a primer coat you can use for example Sikkens Cetol HLS extra. This must be applied with a brush.

Which paint should be applied?

The coating can follow optional with solvent-based or water-based paints according usage. For example with Sikkens Cetol HLS extra or Sikkens BLX Pro.

The glaze coat can be applied with a synthetic fiber brush. For best apply once or twice depending on the necessity. If even after second coating it is not yet dark enough you can paint steadily a third time.

The paint should be applied with a glaze brush. For best results brush twice and apply the glaze not too thick.

Tips

There are diffrent standard colours in bright or darker shades available. In addtion, you can get more favourite colours by our mixing system.

How should I prepare the surface?

The surface should be sanded with a sandpaper, so that the following coating has better adhesion. For the edges is a sanding fleece work well, which won‘t remove too much color. If you don’t sand the surface enough the follwing paint won’t have enough liability.

Which paint should be applied?

For painting we recommend the top coat 871 by Brillux. This is available in a standard color white. Furthermore, it is possibile to mix desired colours with our mixing system. There is a variety of color options so interesting color accents can be set.

The painting can be done either with a brush or applicator roller.
